Selection Procedure for the PGDM Course

Achiever Round

The achiever round is a procedure for shortlisting candidates based on achievements in fields such as sports, academics, professional experience, and co-curricular activities. Only the candidates applying for the PGDM program should undergo the achiever round.

Such candidates are shortlisted without assessment of XAT, CAT, or GMAT scores, and the scores will be assessed later. An offer for on-spot admission is also given for selecting a set of students. Others are considered along with the other applicants for admission.

The most talented candidates are selected for scholarships. Students who are normally provided scholarships under this category are national hockey players, toppers in 12th, up to 20th in state board in 10th, No. 2 in a university degree course, employees of the years, organizing solo exhibitions of photographs, volleyball players at the district level, etc.

Elite Round

Academic toppers from professional institutes such as ICWA, MBBS, CA, CS, and CFA with at least 24 months of full-time work experience in selected companies are chosen as ELITE applicants. After verifying eligibility, they are called for a personal interview.

The candidates are first shortlisted based on scores on the XAT, CAT, or CMAT. The candidates who are shortlisted are then called for the final selection process. During this process, factors such as their academic scores, profile, and work experience are accessed. Then, they should also undergo a final round of interviews.

Candidates who want to pursue PGDM in Big Data Analytics should undergo an aptitude test known as the GIM Analytics Aptitude Test.

Final weight of students for final selection:

Factors Total weightage

Shortlisting the candidates applying for part-time

Then, they are shortlisted based on their performance in a personal interview, group discussion, and other factors such as work experience and academic scores. The overall profile of the candidate is also assessed. A merit list is then prepared based on their overall performance in interviews, group discussions, and other factors mentioned above.
