Group discussion or GD round is conducted to judge the personality of aspirants. In colleges, GD is orchestrated to assess behaviour traits such as leadership skills, analytical skills, divergent skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills etc. As in the game of football, where you play like a team, passing the ball to each team member and aim for a common goal, GD is also based on unity, teamwork, incorporating views of different participants to reach a common goal.
It is basically a group of people who deliberate their ideas, views and opinion on a particular issue or situation with other participants either formally or informally. Colleges conduct group discussion rounds for the students so that they should be aware and updated of what all is going over the world.
Before preparing for GD topic it is essential to know the rules and focus on improving group skills as it might help to tackle any GD even if the applicant does not have enough knowledge about the given topic.
