WORLD UNIVERSITY OF DESIGN (WUD) was born in the year 2017. The University is located in Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Sonipat, Haryana, India. It is a private university entrenched under the “Private University Act” 2006 of the Government of Haryana. The WUD University is recognized by COA and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education ).

The idea to build the World University Of Design was endorsed by Mr. Om Prakash Bansal Educational and Welfare Trust. All the courses provided to the student of WUD are UGC approved. This University claims to be India’s first and only University that is committed to the education of Design.

World University Of Design CAMPUS:

The University of Design sprawls over an area of 13 acres in Sonipat, Haryana. The campus also provides well-furnished and air-conditioned hostels for both Boys and Girls.

WORLD UNIVERSITY OF DESIGN:

The World University Of Design offers various UG, PG, and Diploma Courses in Fashion, Design, Communication, Art, Architecture, Humanities & Management. Courses like B. Des, B.B.A, B.V.A B.Arch, and B.P.A program at the UG level and offers M.Des, M.B.A, M.V.A, and M.P.A courses at the PG level.

It also offers (11 months) Diploma courses-Graphic & Web Design, Fashion Design, Photography, Professional Automotive Modelling, and Painting. All the courses provided at the World University Of Design have a “spine of Design Thinking”; “Core Competencies” and a passion to build-in programs that are yet not available in the country.

It also offers Strategic and Design Management courses under both UG & PG programs which is not a typical management program but a program with a design thinking backbone

ADMISSION PROCEDURE AT WORLD UNIVERSITY OF DESIGN, [WUD]

The university of design offers an online mode of the application form.
In order to take admission, students are required to appear in design aptitude test with hall ticket which is available online.
On the basis of the score of an aptitude test, students are selected for the programme.
The valid score of NIFT, CEED, UCEED will also be taken into consideration.
Admission in Architectural programmes is based on students performance in NATA, JEE exams.
Admission in MBA Programmes is done on the basis of the valid score in WUDMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT examination.
The students who are shortlisted in the aptitude test are then required to appear in a personal interview conducted by the interview panel.
Candidates who successfully clear the interview will be made an offer of admission to join WUD.

APPLICATION FEE:

In order to take admission in the University of Design, candidates are required to pay the Application Fee along with the application form. The Application Fee details are as follows :

WORLD UNIVERSITY OF DESIGN SCHOLARSHIP:

The World University of Design also offers scholarships that cover part/full academic fee for the entire duration of the program.
The scholarship is provided to the students on the basis of merit.
Students who are availing for the scholarships are required to meet the academic performance criteria per semester.
The students need to maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.0 for the continuation of the scholarship.
The scholarship amount will not be paid in cash.
Some other special scholarships are also provided to the student’s like Wards of Defence Personnel, Wards of Serving Teachers, Single Girl Child, Sports, performing arts.
