1. NDA

The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is one of the most prestigious exams conducted by UPSC twice a year. This exam is taken by candidates aspiring to join the Indian Armed Forces.

Eligibility Criteria	Candidates should be between 16-19 years of age.           A candidate must either be a citizen of India,  a subject of Bhutan, or a subject of Nepal.     A candidate should have passed the 12th class from a recognized board.           The marital status of the candidate must be Single.

2. CDS

The Combined Defence Service Examination (CDS) is conducted by UPSC to recruit Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. Those candidates who see their future can enrol in this exam.

Eligibility Criteria	For the Army- Candidates must be a graduate of any stream. For the Air Force - The Candidate must be a graduate with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as the main subjects.  The candidate should be between 18 and 24 years of age. The candidate’s marital status must be Single.

3. AFCAT

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test. It is an examination conducted for candidates wanting to join the Indian Air Force after graduation. An AFCAT-eligible candidate can choose from multiple branches they want to join, such as Flying Branch, Technical Branch, etc.

Eligibility Criteria	Candidate must be a citizen of India. Candidate's age must be: For Flying Branch - 20 to 24 years. For Ground Duty - 20 to 26 years. Candidate must have completed their Graduation with a minimum of 3 years degree from any recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks.

4. Coast Guard

The Ministry of Defence oversees the Indian Coast Guard, an autonomous military force tasked with defending the country’s marine interests. For instance, protects the maritime environment or marine pollution, assists various authorities with tasks like customs, assists and safeguards fishermen, etc.

Eligibility Criteria	Candidate's age must be between the age group of 18 to 22 years. Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary with a minimum mark of 50% or 50% marks in Mathematics and Physics. Candidate must also satisfy all the physical standards required.

5. Indian Navy

7. CDSE IMA OTA

It stands for Common Defence Services, which is a common entrance exam for graduate male and female candidates to the Indian Military Academy (IMA). The Indian Military Academy (IMA) is located in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun. Candidates need to work hard to prepare for CDSE to join IMA (DE). This exam is conducted twice a year.

8. MNS

MNS stands for Military Nursing Service. Only female candidates are invited to the 4-year B Sc (Nursing) program. Upon completion of nursing training, the candidate is shortlisted permanently or shortly for service commission in the Military Nursing Service.
