UPSC Exam Dates 2024

UPSC exam 2024 has three stages and these are preliminary, mains and interview. So here are the important dates of the UPSC examination 2024:

• UPSC Notification 2024: The Notification is very important as it contains information on the exam details such as eligibility criteria, syllabus, exam pattern, vacancies, application process, etc. UPSC will release their official notification for the UPSC exam on 14th February 2024.

• UPSC Application 2024: UPSC will start to accept the online application for UPSC exam from 14th February 2024 to 6 March 2024. Candidates who meet the online application eligibility criteria can apply through the UPSC website or the one-time registration portal.

• UPSC Preliminary Exam 2024: Now, if we come to prelims, UPSC will start conducting prelims exams from 26 May 2024. This is the first stage of the exam. It has two papers, both of which are objective. There are general studies first and general studies second.  

• UPSC Mains Exam 2024: UPSC will start conducting the mains exam from September 20, 2024 to September 29, 2024. This is the second stage, which consists of nine descriptive-type papers, one essay paper, four general studies papers, two optional papers, one language paper, and one qualifying paper.  

• UPSC Interview 2024: This final stage of UPSC is an Interview they will conduct from January 2025 to April 2025. This interview is very crucial for the candidates as it decides their faith if they will get the civil servant post or not by accessing their personality and other things. This interview is conducted by boards of unbiased people.
