SET 2024 (Symbiosis Entrance Test)

SET Exam: The SET-B examination is done for the admission of candidates in BBA. There are various changes in the SET Exam 2024 Pattern including duration, pattern, sections, and scoring pattern. This examination is conducted by the Symbiosis International University situated in Pune. The SET 2024 Exam Registration process was reopened on 11th June and the last date to apply for the examination was 3rd June 2024.

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a university-level entrance exam affiliated with Symbiosis International University, Pune. The test is organized to get admission into various undergraduate courses. The college offers different UG courses in engineering, BBA, Law, and design through SITEEE, SLAT and SEED, SET BBA, BCA, BA Mass Comm, B Sc Economics Honours, B Sc Liberal Arts, BA Liberal Arts, and B Sc Culinary Arts respectively.

SET Exam Notification 2024:

SET is organized once a year to get admission in various UG courses offered by the university and other affiliated institutions. The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2024 is a common online test for the admission process at the undergraduate institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission in 2024.   

Symbiosis Entrance Test is a computer-based online entrance test conducted to provide admission to students in BBA. The duration of the SET 2024 Exam is 2 hours. This entrance examination is compulsory for all the candidates who are seeking admission in BBA 2024-2024 session.

For B.Tech, B.Sc (Medical Technology, Radio technology & Nursing) and B.A (Visual Arts & Photography) program, appearing for the SET 2024 Paper is NOT Compulsory. Since the exam is used for admissions to numerous UG programs like - B.Tech, L.L.B, B.B.A, B.Sc. , B.C.A, and B.A, the exam is divided into constituent exams:

• Law as Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT)
• Engineering as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE)
• Design test as Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) and
• SET for General.

• Eligibility Criteria for SET Exam 2024:

• The applicant must have passed class XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks.
• For reserved categories - Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes minimum marks must be 45% in class 12th.  
• Candidates in class 12 or awaiting their 10+2 results are also eligible to apply but they will have to submit a passing certificate by September 2024.
• The candidate who has cleared XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any Foreign Board must get an identity certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

The Following Reservation Rules Shall Be Followed While Admitting Indian Students:

• Scheduled Caste: 15%
• Scheduled Tribe: 7.5%
• Differently-abled students: 3%
• Armed Forces Dependants (Wards of Serving/Retired): 5%
• Kashmiri Migrants: 2 seats.

SET Exam Centres 2024

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) will be held in almost every state of the country. While filling the application form, applicants get the opportunity to choose the examination center of their choice. Applicants must make sure that they reach the examination center one hour before the examination. If in any case, the candidate fails to reach the exam center on time, he/she will not be allowed to sit in the examination.
