Directorate of Technical Education(DTE), Maharashtra has announced the date of MHT CET 2020. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) will commence from the 2nd of May and will conclude on the 13th of May 2020. The registration process is expected to begin in the third week of January 2020 until the first week of April in an online mode.
It is a state-level entrance exam directed for admission into Engineering and Allied Health Sciences courses in Maharashtra. The state government of Maharashtra has announced to conduct MHT CET 2020 in online mode (Computer-Based Test) for the first time in 2020. The test will be conducted every day from the 2nd of May till the 13th of May in two-session.
The applicants are given an opportunity to chose a day and slot according to their preferences. The examination will be conducted in all the districts of Maharashtra. Last year the exam was conducted on 10th May 2020.
Until last year, the authorities used to administer the exam in an offline mode. This year, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers and the difficulty level of the exam will be according to JEE Mains. MHT CET will consist of two question papers and each paper will carry 100 marks. The type of questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Candidates will be provided 90 marks to attempt each paper. In order to get admission to various engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses the applicants need to qualify for this exam. The time duration for the exam is kept 1 hour 30 minutes. The medium of question paper in English. For every correct answer, you will be allotted +2 marks and no marks will be deducted for the wrong answer. Syllabus of Maharashtra Common Entrance test consists of class 10th and 12th course.

Eligibility criteria for MHT CET 2020:-
- Nationality: The applicants must of Indian nationality.
- Age limit: there is no age limit for this exam.
- Educational qualification: Applicants must have cleared 10+2 from a recognized board with physics, Chemistry, and Maths as main subjects.
- Marks required: For general category candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in 10+2 and for other categories like ST/SC/OBC the percentage required is a minimum of 45%.

Duration of Exam
As the MHT CET 2020 date has been released the applicants have ample time for the preparation. The admit card will be released in the last week of April 2020.
Note: The applicants are advised to take the to admit cards in the examination centre, as without the hall ticket they will not be allowed to sit in the examination.
