HTET 2020 Online Registration Commences: Here’s How To Apply


The online registration for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test or HTET 2020 has begun on the official website i.e. The registration will conclude on November 30. Hurry up! Here are all the details about eligibility, syllabus, exam date, answer key, result date etc. of the HTET 2018 exam.

The aspirants appeared for UPTET are waiting for answer keys while its time for HTET candidates to pull up their socks and get ready as the online registration has started. Board of School Education, Haryana has commenced the registration for HTET 2018 on 19th November 2018. The registration form is available on the official website of the exam i.e.

The exam is conducted by the authority Board of Secondary Education – Haryana (BSEH). The authority is responsible for conducting the HTET exam once or twice a year. Candidates who qualify the HTET exam are eligible to be appointed on the post of Primary Teacher, Trained Graduate Teacher, and Post Graduate Teacher in government schools in the state, Haryana. Even the private school of Haryana consider HTET as a mandatory exam for teacher’s appointment. The aspirants who fulfill the eligibility criteria are allowed to apply for the HTET exam. About HTET 2019 - Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test

The HTET exam will be held in the first month of 2019. The dates are mentioned below. One can visit the official website to fill the registration form. The total time provided to aspirants for completing the exam will be of two and a half hour. The time limit will be the same for all the level of exam. This is an eligibility test which is made compulsory for all the aspirants who wants to teach in government schools. HTET 2019 Important Dates

The board has released the official exam date for HTET 2019 exam. The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test will be held on January 5 and January 6, 2019. The registration has begun on the official website of HTET exam. Online registration started on 19th November 2018 at 6 pm and will be concluded on 30 November 2018. Candidates can make corrections in the submitted form from November 19 to December 3, 2018.

HTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The exam is held on 3 levels. Here is the eligibility to check before applying:

Level I: This exam is for aspirants who want to become a primary teacher and teach from Class I to Class V.

Eligibility for Primary Teacher Post:

  • The candidate who wishes to appear for HTET 2019 must have cleared HSC or class 12th.
  • Candidate must own a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed) with minimum of 50% marks. All those who will give final exams of D.EI.Ed this year can also apply for the same.
  • Candidates who score minimum 50% marks in 12th standard and in Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) can also apply.
  • All aspirants with at least 50% marks and Diploma in Special Education are also eligible.
  • According to guidelines given by Ncert, A candidate which own a B.Ed degree can apply.      

Level II: This exam is for those who want to become a Trained graduate teacher and teach from Class  VI to Class V.

Eligibility for Trained graduate teacher Post:

  • Any candidate which has a Bachelor’s Degree and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with at least 50% score can apply for the same.
  • Aspirants with 50% marks in Bachelor's degree and D.EI.Ed should feel free to apply for this category.
  • Many students pursue B.El.Ed just after 12th standard. Such students with at least 50% marks in both B.El.Ed and HSC can apply.
  • Students who have done 12th class and B.Sc., B.Ed, and B.A. B.Ed and scored 50% marks are eligible for this category.

Level III: Those who want to work as a Postgraduate teacher and teach students of above Class VIII are required to give this exam.

Eligibility for Postgraduate teacher Post:

  • Minimum 50% marks are required in both i.e. Master’s degree and Bachelor’s Degree.

The fees for the same exams vary from category to category. One needs to fill the payment while submitting the form. Given below are the details of application fees according to category:

Documents required for HTET Online Registration form:

Before filing the form, scan the following document as you have to upload them while submitting the form.

  • Scanned Copy of Latest Passport Size Photograph of Candidates
  • Scanned Copy of Candidates’ Signature

These two documents are mandatory. Rest of the required will be uploaded on the website.

HTET 2018: How to apply ?

Visit the website of the HTET exam i.e. Carefully fill the details in the form and upload the scan copy of the required documentation.

Do the payment via Debit card/Credit card or net banking. Submit the form. Now, a confirmation page will appear on your screen. Take out the print out for future reference. You don’t need to send the confirmation page to the Board office.

Thoroughly read the “Guidelines/Instructions” provided on the registration portal before filling the form. As mentioned in the notification of BSEH, it is mandatory to submit the Identification Proof and Number while filling online application.

HTET 2019 Admit Card

Before a week of the exam, admit card will be accessible by students to download on the same website. No candidate will be allowed to sit in the exam without the admit card. By entering the Registration number and Date of Birth, students will be able to download the admit card. Kindly, get it printed. HTET 2019 Exam Pattern

The subject focuses on all the topics associated with the educational psychology of teacher and learning. The candidates must refer to Educational Psychology books for D.EI.Ed, B.EI.Ed or B.Ed courses. The difficulty level of questions change for each level –

Level 1 – Most of the questions of educational psychology are based on child development/ psychology – 6 to 11 Years

Level 2 – For level 2, the questions will be on child development/ psychology – 11 to 16 years

Level 3 –For Level 3, the questions will be in child development/ psychology – 14 to 17 Years

Hindi and English subjects are common for Level 1, 2 and 3 of HTET 2018 exam. The candidates must focus on –

Grammar (Basic to Moderate) such as Tenses, Active and Passive Voice, Direct and Indirect Speech, Verb Forms etc

HTET 2019 Result

The HTET result 2019 will be out in the 2nd month of 2019 i.e. February. Candidate can access their result with the help of their exam roll number. Those who clear this can apply for teacher recruitment test which is managed by the government of Haryana.

Selection Procedure of HTET 2019

As soon as the results will be out, the cut off will also be announced by the board. The general cut off of the exam is given below:

No specific selection criteria are given by the government. A candidate must score more than the cut off announced.

The Validity of HTET 2019 Certificate-

HTET 2018 certificate will be counted only for five years from the date of announcement of the results of the same. Aspirants who score beyond the cut off can apply for teacher recruitment test conducted by Haryana government until 2022. Those who want to give the exam again for improving the score can apply next year.
