The result of CAT 2018 has been released on the official website of IIM ( iimcat.ac.in.) The result was declared today, January 5 at 1:00 pm. The validation of CAT 2018 result remains till December 31, 2019. The CAT score card is important for those who want to take admission in reputed management institutes across various institutes of India. The scorecard of CAT is accepted by all 20 prestigious IIM institutes of India. CAT 2018 was scheduled on November 25 earlier this year at test centres spread over 147 cities. It was estimated that over 2 lakh candidates had appeared in CAT 2018. According to students, the quant section was concluded as the toughest section in exam but the overall experience of maximum students ran away smooth. How to check CAT 2018 scorecard: Cat result 2018
- Open your web browser and navigate to the official website of IIM CAT (iimcat.ac.in).
- Click on CAT 2018 result link on the home screen.
- Now enter your login credentials which were used for CAT 2018.
- Your CAT result card will be displayed on the screen.
- You can download and take a print out of your admit card for future reference.
The CAT scorecard consists of the scaled scores in each section, total score and a percentile score of the candidate. The percentile score is used for the purpose of shortlisting of candidates in institutes that offer management courses. A statement for shortlisted candidates on the official website of CAT stated that “Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. The criteria for shortlisting may vary across IIMs”. A total of 12,411 seats have been allotted for various courses across the 20 IIM’S in the country. Apart from IIM, several other prestigious institutes like JNU announced that the scores of CAT 2019 will be accepted from July 2019 session.
Selection procedure of shortlisted candidates: IIM
The shortlisting criteria cover various aspects in which cat percentile play the major part. However, the percentile for admission can vary from one IIM to another. it may also The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Written Ability Test (WAT) which will be followed by GD ( Group Discussion ) and Personal Interview. The selected candidates will get admission through 20 IIM across the country.
