Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJM) was established in the year 1966. It is a State University which is located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Kanpur University provides admission in undergraduate courses in the field of Arts, Biotechnology, Commerce, Computer Applications, Education, Engineering, Management, Medicine, Law, Life Sciences, and Science. Reservation System:

  1. Seats will be reserved for the candidates as per the Uttar Pradesh government norms.
  2. Reserved category aspirant has to attach their attested true copy of the reservation certificate with their application form.
  3. ST vacant seats can be transferred to the SC category and SC vacant seats can be transferred to the OBC category.

Kanpur University Undergraduate Admission Process:

For taking admission to B.Tech, candidates have to clear the UPSEE exam. Admission in B.Tech will totally depend upon the performance of the candidate in UPSEE. There will be no negative marking in UPSEE. But a record of all the incorrect answers given by a candidate will be kept separately. UPSEE encompasses objective type questions. All the Papers will be OMR based on Tests only.

The total cut-off percentage in UPSEE for the merit of the successful candidates is 25% (For General and OBC) and 20% (For SC/ST) according to the UP State Govt. order.
