The Bihar School Examination Board' (BSEB) is an autonomous statutory body incepted in the state of Bihar under Section 3 of the Bihar School Exam Act of 1952. The board functions under the Government of Bihar formulated to conduct various examinations at the secondary level and senior secondary standard in both the government and private institutions concerning the state of Bihar on the basis of the syllabus prescribed by the Government of Bihar.
Bihar 10th Board is headquartered in the capital of the Bihar state, Patna. With the school examinations, the board also organizes departmental examinations such as Diploma in Physical Education, Certificate in Physical Education and Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for the state, Simultala Residential Entrance Examinations, Examinations for Diploma in Elementary Education, etc. The examination is conducted twice in every year to hold the annual board examinations in the month of February and March, the other supplementary examination is held in August–September every year. It was established in February 2011 by the Government of Bihar for autonomously organizing the education department.
The sole objective of the BBOSE mission is to "reach the Unreached" relating to the skills and education of Bihar through Distance mode education.
