The journey of the Shambhunath Group of Institution started in the year 2004 with the inauguration of  Shambhunath Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET). Now it has 9 well-known institutions which are imparting world-class education in the field of engineering and management in various disciplines.

All the courses of SIET college are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalm Technical University, Lucknow (previously known as UPTU).  SIET is one of the top private engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh.

The college is committed to promoting social equality through sustainable development schemes and human resource development through value-based universal education system at all levels in as many disciplines as possible. The objective of the institutions is to become a world-class centre in engineering, pharmacy, biotechnology, and management field.

• Management

Shambhunath has a dedicated management and Faculty staff. They all are responsible for maintaining the reputation of the college and welfare of the students. The management takes quick action in case of an emergency.

• Utthan NGO

It was Founded in 1996 and works for neediness alleviation through sustainable development. Utthan is running under the guidance of Dr. D. N. Tewari, retired Member of Planning Commission, India, and Vice-chairman State Planning Board, Chhattisgarh.

UTTHAN Main Activities are

• Performance and promotion of agroforestry models in various ecosystems.
• Develop technology to cultivate Jatropha in an inadequate land for bio-diesel production.
• Production of watershed management, rainwater harvesting, and groundwater recharge
• Reclaiming degraded land by watershed construction.
• Literacy and adult education programs
• Health and cleanliness programs.

The Infrastructure Facility of the College

The SGIT campus spreads over 48 acres of land with artistic infrastructure. The college provides the best atmosphere ideally suited for technical education. 24*7 wifi is accessible on the campus which is helpful for students to study. CCTV camera is installed in the academic area to keeping an eye on students.

Network and R&D Cell - R&D Cell is helpful for students to develop their knowledge. It is equipped with IBM server, firewall and internet leased line of 155 Mbps. All the IT resources are available in the cell. Online tests, Network monitoring, Internet accessing and other important tasks are performed by the Network cell.

Digital Library - The college has a well-furnished library with a large collection of reference books. Each building has its own library. All modern facilities are provided by the college. Book bank facility is also offered to students on the basis of semester wise.

Labs and workshop - There are well-maintained workshop and labs are available. Students gain more practical knowledge through workshops and laboratories. Each department has its own independent labs and workshops. CAD/CAM, HPLC labs and various workshops are well-equipped in the college.

There are also Well set up laboratories exist for Physics, Chemistry, Applied Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics and IC Engines, Material Testing; Advanced Computation etc. These are supervised by competent faculty members and efficient instructors. Every institute of Shambhunath has all the needed labs with the latest technologies.

Sports Facilities - Various sports activities are organised every year in college. Teachers are encouraged to the students for games. Most of the students participate in games events. Gifts and trophy are distributed to the winning team. SGI college has top sports facilities including Basketball - Boxing - Cricket – Volleyball - Shooting - Football – Hockey.

Cafeteria - The college has a cafeteria with a modern kitchen and equipment. The cafeteria has a huge area where all students can enjoy too in their free time. Canteen has a menu that is designed by a team of professional dieticians, comprising nutritious and wholesome food to ensure a well-balanced diet. Fresh fruit juices, milkshakes, ice creams sundaes and snacks are offered in this cafeteria for energy boosts.

Classrooms and Seminar Halls - The spacious and airy classrooms are designed with adequate furniture and all the basic amenities in the SGI Campus. Seminar Hall is equipped with centrally air-conditioned to create the right atmosphere for long hours of learning.  LCD projectors are installed in seminar halls.
