Birla Institute of Technology (BITS Pilani) is considered as one of the top colleges of Technology in India and ranked 27th in the list by NIRF (National Institute Ranking Forum) in 2024 rankings and 37th in 2024 rankings. BITS was established in 1964 as a Deemed to be University. It was also accredited with “Grade A” by NAAC. It offers no. of UG, PG, and PhD. Courses in the field of Technology, Management, Science, and Pharmacy. Admission into such a prestigious university is offered as per score criteria of entrance examinations along with a PI round conducted by the college.

There are various entrance examinations such as BITSAT, BITS-HD, BITS- DOMBITS that are conducted by the BITS Pilani institute to shortlist the deserving candidates for admissions.BITS also accept the students who have a valid score in other entrance examinations like GATE, CAT, GMAT. The institute is known for its research and development projects and also provides consultancy to the Government through its R&D centres.

The college aims to transform the students into highly skilled professionals in the field of Technology, Management, and Pharmaceutical Science. BITS PILANI ADMISSION 2024-24:

BITS Pilani is India's top-ranked non-Government Institute with 3 campuses in India and one international campus located in Dubai. Every year, a vast no. of students apply to take admission in the institute, however very few excel. “How to take admission in BITS Pilani ?”, This is a question asked very often by the admission seekers. Well, there are certain eligibility criteria that are necessary to be fulfilled by the candidates who seek admission in the college. Either the candidate must have a valid score in examinations like CAT, GATE, GMAT, GPAT or they have to clear the Entrance examinations conducted by BITS (BITSAT, BITS-HD, and BITS- DOMBITS).

BITS PILANI ADMISSION PROCESS 2024-24:

Step 1: Check the eligibility criteria laid out by BITS Pilani and register on the official website of BITS Pilani https://www.bitsadmission.com/, if you find yourself eligible as per criteria,

Step 2: Now, after registering yourself you need to appear for BITSAT/ BITS HD / BAAT entrance exam, the shortlisted candidates may also have to appear for the Personal Interview round if you are applying for a Master’s degree course.

Step 3: BITSAT/BITS HD/BAAT Counselling is conducted by the authorities for the shortlisted candidates in six iterations.

Step 4: After a month, The institute releases the final merit list of the qualified candidates

Step 5: Selected Candidates need to report to the BITS campus for further procedure.

BITSAT Application Form 2024:

BITS Aptitude Test is an Entrance exam conducted by BITS to offer admissions in integrated first-degree programs, The BITSAT forms are already released by the institute authorities, please read the given instructions carefully to apply for the BITSAT Entrance 2024:

The last date of applying for the BITSAT 2024 entrance examination is 29th May 2024 till 5:00 PM. To apply online click here.

While filling the online application form you will be asked for center preferences for writing the BITSAT-2024 exam. You can choose the preferable centers from within India or Dubai. Choose as per your convenience.
Application Fee for male candidates will be Rs.3,400/- (for Indian Centres) and for female candidates, it will be Rs. 2,900/(for Indian Centres). If you choose Dubai as a center, the Application Fee for both genders will be Rs.7,000/.
Before printing out the filled-in application form, the system program will generate a unique application no. Note down this number as it will be required for all future correspondences.
While applying online, do not use the 'Back' button. Use the links and buttons available on the page to move from one page to another. Further, when you have completed applying, close all the open browser windows so that others cannot copy your personal details.
A candidate is advised to fill and submit only one online application form. Multiple applications will be rejected.
Before starting your online application, assemble the scanned files of Photograph and Signature in the format of jpg/jpeg only. The size of the image must be between 50 kb to 100 Kb. The size of the signature image must be between 10 kb to 50 kb.
Use a valid Email-ID and Mobile Number for the registration of your online application. The Email-ID and Mobile Number should be kept “on” till the declaration of admission results. BITS will send important information related to your application for writing the test followed by admission procedure on this registered Email/Mobile number.

BITS PILANI SCHOLARSHIP:

This year BITS Pilani will provide a Merit-Based Scholarship of Rs 2 crores to 24% of its shortlisted students based on various parameters like academic performance, interview round, scores in BITS Qualifying exams, etc. Apart from this, there are other scholarship programs offered by the institute to Integrated 1st degree, Higher Degree, and Doctoral program students.

1.Merit-Based Scholarship for new Admissions

The 10+2 toppers with a minimum aggregate percentage of 90% in any Indian Board examinations are offered a 50% tuition fee scholarship in the 1st year of the course.

2. Merit in Qualifying Examination

3. Hostel Fee Scholarship

Candidates who are shortlisted for admission, and scored 70% of aggregate in the qualifying examinations will be offered a 25% of concession on the Hostel fee for the overall duration of the course. Students who avail of this scholarship will not be eligible to avail any other hostel fee scholarship.

4. BITSAT Merit Scholarship

5. BITSAT Hostel Fee Concession

The admitted students who score 150 or more in the BITSAT examinations will be awarded a 25% concession on Hostel fee for the entire duration of the course(4 years). Students who avail of this scholarship will not be eligible to avail any other hostel fee scholarship.

6. Merit Scholarships for the students who are already pursuing

Students with a CGPA of 9.00 or above 9.00 at the end of the semester will be awarded a merit scholarship of 20% of the tuition fee for the new semester for the normal duration of the program.

7.For the sudden demise of earning member of the family

The BITS Pilani institute helps in providing financial aid to the students who are not willing to pay their tuition fee due to the bereavement of the only earning member of the family, helping them by waiving recruiting100% tuition fee for a semester. A concession of up to 75% might be offered in the later semesters, depending on means and need.

8. Scholarship For sibling

For families that have more than one child enrolled in the college consecutively, a 25% concession on the tuition fee is provided to the second child until the first one gets graduated.

9. Scholarship for Differently Abled Students

All differently-abled students who will fulfill the conditions will be given a 15% concession on the tuition fee throughout the program subject if they will be able to give a good performance in each semester.

10. Scholarships for Gulf Country Citizens or Arab Nationals

GCC or Arab National students will be awarded a scholarship of 75% concession on the tuition fee for the entire duration of the program by BITS Pilani, the scholarship continuance is also based on their qualifying examinations and minimum CGPA of 6.0 in each semester. However, This scholarship will be awarded to a limited no. of students.

BITS PILANI PLACEMENT:

The placement success rate of BITS Pilani is very high, every year the college witnesses a peek in the placement success rate.BITS Pilani campuses schedule two placement seasons every year. Students are allowed to work in the companies for one semester in their final year as a part of the Practice School programs which provides tremendous exposure to their career and widen their experience area. BITS PILANI HOSTEL:

BITS Pilani is a full-time residential and hostel accommodation that is mandatory for all students. The institute has 12 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel. The permission to be a day scholar is provided only in exceptional or special cases. The rooms are fully furnished with all the required facilities such as a High-speed internet connection, Common rooms with water purifier and Cable TV in all the hostels. There is one kitchen and mess unit is there for every 2 boys’ hostel.
