BSc Nursing Course: B.Sc Nursing course is a graduation degree where candidates will study Bachelor of Science with specialization in nursing, It is a 4-year program after which students can serve in the nursing field.

Students with a science stream (PCB) in 10+2 are eligible to do BSc Nursing course after their completion of 10+2 from a recognized body. Candidates can pursue BSc Nursing Course after Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with at least a minimum aggregate of 50% from a reputed institute.

Admission to a BSc Nursing course can be done on the basis of 10+2 aggregate or through an entrance exam, Various institutes give admission on the basis of an entrance exam whereas some institutions provide admission on a merit basis.

BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc Nursing course is a 4-year program in which there are 3 options to seek admission in B.Sc Nursing Course.

The eligibility criteria to seek admission in B.Sc Nursing are mentioned below:

For Basic B.Sc Nursing:

  1. Candidates need to pass 10+2 examinations with Science Stream (PCB) from a recognized board.
  2. Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 exams.
  3. Candidates should be physically and mentally fit.

For B.Sc Nursing Post Basic Course:

  1. Candidates should be the 11th pass with a diploma in GNM (General Nursing Midwifery).
  2. Candidates need to register themself with the state nurses registration council as RNRM.

Candidates also need to show their training certificate by Indian Nursing Council in any stream such as:

BSc Nursing Course Duration

B.Sc Nursing Course is an Undergraduate program of 4 Years, In which candidates will be trained how to handle patients, how to take care of ill persons. In this period of 4 years, candidates will study nursing and Midwifery with some theory and practical exposure too.

BSc Nursing Course Fees

The Bachelor of Science in nursing is a popular program, and various institutes offer B.Sc Nursing their fee structures differ from one another but the approx fees for BSc Nursing are 20,000 to 2,00,000.

It may differ from institute to institute as some government colleges offer BSc Nursing courses with a minimum fee structure whereas the fee structure in private colleges/universities is quite high.
